Miami Critical Mass : October 29th (Halloween Ride)

Friday, October 29th
6:30pm

Government Center
150 NW First Street
Downtown Miami

This month Miami Critical Mass falls on Friday, October 29th, two days before Halloween. To celebrate we will be having a costume party throughout the streets of Miami on bicycles. The ride will be passing through Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Little Havana, Downtown and Edgewater. 19 miles total. Costumes are strongly encouraged but not required. Invite all your friends with bikes & encourage them to wear costumes. See you there!

Safety tips for cyclist wearing costumes:

If your costume requires a mask or other face covering, you should be able to see clearly and breathe easily at all times. Make sure your costume will not get caught in the wheels, gears, or pedals.

Here are some costume ideas for cyclists. If any of you have Halloween attire ideas feel free to post them in the comments.

Don't forget to bring bicycle lights. It's the law!

*Note: On the last leg of our ride we will be stopping at BAR (formerly PS14) for cheap BBQ and drinks. The group will pause there, those wishing to remain to eat, drink and hangout will stay. Those who wish to return to Government Center (just 1 mile away) will be guided back.

When stopping outside the BAR please clear the road and do not obstruct traffic. Bicycles are allowed inside BAR, bring them to the back via the side walkway.

They will have BBQ ready in the patio. $3 burgers & $2 hot dogs (vegetarian-friendly). They also will have $1 off all beers and well drinks for cyclists until midnight. Free pool table too. They are offering these specials specifically for Miami Critical Mass. See you there!

They will also be showing the first Miami Heat home game of the season.
