Bicycle Weekend Guide September 14-15



Lots of bicycle related events going on this weekend, there's something for everyone:  community rides,  alleycat races, pub crawl, bike polo, and more. Try and make it out to one or more of the events listed below. Enjoy your weekend and ride safely!


Saturday, September 14th

Miami Beach Community Ride
Enjoy a continuous safe with with police escort in Miami Beach.
9am

Emerge Miami - Divercycles Immigration Ride
Bike ride celebrating diversity in Miami and supporting immigration reform with a path to citizenship.
10am

Broken Spokes Scavenger Hunt
A bicycle scavenger hunt in the greater Miami area, presented by Red Bull. Bring a camera phone!
1pm

Pedal To The Barrel
CycleHolics will host their first bike pub crawl.
4pm

Mechanic Manny Rey's Retirement Party
Join Mack Cycles for food & drinks and thank bike mechanic Manny for 41 years of hard work & dedication.

Sunday, September 15th

Modern Marvels Bike Tour
Architect and professor Allan Shulman leads this tour of modern buildings that grace our cityscape. Tour departs from the Coral Gables Museum. $10
11am

Miami Bike Polo
Bike polo at Jose Marti Park. Spectators welcomed, bring beverages & snacks.
3pm - 7pm

Up Stream Alleycat Race
Alleycat starting from Miami River Walk (Miami Circle) and ending at EG Sewell Park with an after party at Marine Bar. No registration fee.
4pm

Ice Ride
"Ice Ride" is an international bicycle ride/event promoted by Greenpeace. Join the global bike ride to challenge big oil and celebrate the beauty of the Arctic.
5:30pm
