"On Friday March 31st we will be setting up camp and staying the weekend at Markham Park for the first ever Blind Rabbit Mountain Bike Fest. One large mountain bike community get-together jam packed with festivities and prizes!"

Friday night will be the welcome gathering with some night riding and hanging out in the event area. Bring your tents and find an area to call home for the next 2 days.

Bright and early on Saturday morning Coffee Hub will be providing gourmet coffee to get us going and the vendors will be out in full force!

The Markham Park Trail Builders have some special things in store specifically for this event! One of those being, Ride Markham in reverse all Saturday and the grand opening of a new section with a wall ride!

Later in the day we will have skills clinics and tech talks from some of top MTB teaching talents. There will also be a scavenger hunt, which is going to be awesome! Get out in the trails and come back with all items first and you will win some really sweet prizes!

In the evening we will be pumping it up! Catered dinner at 6ish and around 8pm there will be a mass night ride roll out!

When setting up your tents be sure to pimp it out! On Saturday night we will have judges going around to select the best night camp set up. Rock and Road Bike Shop will be giving out Four $100 gift certificates to the winner!

Tech Talks

  • Bob McCarty from McCarty Training has a surprise topic to talk about and will also be giving a free skills clinic.
  • Dwayne Adams from Alex's Bicycle Pro Shop will be giving a Tech Talk on bike fits. He will also have a tent setup all day providing some basic bike fitting for free!
  • Kathy Russell will be doing a ladies only Tech Talk and skills clinic.

Event Map

When you first come into the park make a left towards the camping area and follow that down until you see cars parking on the right hand side of the road. This will be parking for the event. We will have people guiding you.

The main gate, marked in yellow, is where the wrist band and number plate check happens. You are more than welcome to come and go as you please through the gate area, foot and bicycle traffic only past the main gate.

Entry
When arriving at the event you will need your wristbands and number plates. We will have early packet pickups at announced bike shops to alleviate some of the line waiting on event day. If you miss early packet pickup, you can jump in line and pick up your packet.

How do you get in on this action?
We promised to keep this event small for the first year. That means we are cutting it off at only 300 tickets. Events of this type usually sell out pretty quick. If you want to be a part of it, I'd recommend getting your tickets now.

Where is my ticket money going?
The cost of the tickets go to renting out the Primitive camping area, the entire Mountain Bike Trail system, Permits, Catered Food, Supplies, and Amenities.

Remember, this is a party for us mountain bikers, thrown by mountain bikers. Let's make this a great time with the people we all know and love!

See you there!
