The Friends of the Flagler Rail Trail are hosting their first "Friends" meeting and looking to create an identity for the group and a vision and goals for members to help advance. If you are interested, please RSVP.

"We are looking for a group of advocates and partners that will advance the development of a Flagler Rail Trail. The "Friends of the Flagler Rail Trail" will help advance the conversation around why urban biking and walking trails are important for our communities and support the need for a future Flagler Rail Trail.

The Flagler Rail Trail could potentially be built along the existing Florida East Coast Railway, where the new Brightline service will be running. The Flagler Rail corridor is a critical component of South Florida's transportation system. The trail would not only connect multiple neighborhoods, such as Little Haiti and El Portal to Downtown, but it would also help to create a trail loop in South Florida that connect with other similar facilities."

The Flagler Trail is a proposed segment of the All Aboard Florida rail-with-trail concept that can provide an option for folks to safely travel between the communities around Miami and would connect to the city itself.
