Photos from Miami Critical Mass April 29th

A group of about 300 attended yesterday evening's Miami Critical Mass ride which took them through Downtown, Historic Overtown, Wynwood, Little Haiti, Design District, Midtown, Edgewater and Venetian Islands. The rain and cloudy skies did not stop these cyclists from their last Friday of the month ritual which ends at BAR for a bike bbq party. Thanks to all the corkers who help the ride go smoothly.

Here's a few photos from the ride, unfortunately I didn't come prepared and my camera battery ran out 15 minutes into the ride.

The Miami Bike Scene has been nominated for a Best of Blogs Award under the "Sports" category. The contest began on March 20, 2011 and ends on April 11, 2011, I just found out about it today.

The contest is sponsored by the Sun Sentinel, each category prize consists of a banner advertisement mentioning the winning blog on SunSentinel.com, that will receive 20,000 impressions.

The odds of The Miami Bike Scene winning anything are slim to none, however it's exciting that a cycling blog was recognized amongst the more popular South Florida sports blogs.
