Group Rides

ADVERTISE HERE

Here is a list of current weekly "open" group rides in Miami-Dade, the list is a work in process and is edited periodically. There's a few rides missing and some of those listed may need to be updated. Feel free to post a comment with any amendments you would like to see made to a ride or if you wish to add a ride not yet listed. The goal is to have every "open" group ride listed here, this will be a great asset to local cyclists looking to train with a group and for tourists visiting Miami, FL seeking to do the same. Check this page often for updated listings of "open" group rides in or around the Miami-Dade area.

Keep in mind that most of these are hard training rides geared towards advanced riders, racers and those that have group riding experience. Ride at your own risk and assume all responsibility for yourself and your equipment. Helmets and lights are highly recommended. Check with the sponsoring organization or bike shop for specifics about any rides. Some rides have no leader and are simply "pick-up rides". If you get dropped or have mechanical issues you are very likely to be left behind on some of these rides. Bring an appropriate bike in good working order, water, energy food, spare tube, pump & tools. Bringing a cell phone and cash is also suggested. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements.

  7. Hi, I just recently started riding again, I just did the Dolphins Cycling Challenge yesterday, we did 72 miles and it was great. I'm looking for a cycling group in the Miami Beach area that I can keep up with I can average around 15 or 16 mph. So if anyone knows of any groups like that please let me know.

    Thanks

    Isaac

    1. Hi Tony, yes some of the rides are early, due to the amount of cars on the road later in the day. It just seems safer earlier. We are called Miami Beach TRIbesmen/Women. You can find us on Facebook and also on Meetup.com. Hope to get a chance to ride with you! Coach Lord

  11. any of your members have a contact in Cuba that might help our bike club arrange a week long cross-cubs ride? it would need to have elements of a people-to-people exchange, and of course we would need support. Possibly a bike club or professional bike association in Cuba? A travel group that could accommodate our special needs? if anyone has any suggestions, I sure would appreciate hearing them. rloudis@gmail.com

  12. Miami Gearheads is a Cycling Club of about 30 friends who love to train together. You may have seen us in black jerseys with a pink stripe down our backs. We have 2 weekly rides. Saturday A+ tour of Coral Gables followed by a hammerfest on Key Biscayne. On Sundays, it is an A recovery ride to Black Point (with a sprint or two tossed in for good measure.) Both rides are right at 45 miles and start at 8 A.M. at Miami City Hall.
