Lum is out of the hospital and feeling better.

This morning I received the horrible news that 20 year old cyclist Michael Lum was struck by a motorist on US-1 & 17th Avenue. News of cycling related accidents always get me upset but this one hits a lot closer to home since Lum is a friend of mine and a friend to many who visit this blog.

Lum is currently at the Ryder Trauma Center and underwent surgery a few hours ago. He is in stable condition and sleeping. I've been informed that he has no health insurance so a Donation Fund has been established to try and ease some of the financial burden his family will endure. Please consider making a donation. All proceeds donated to this fund will go toward helping Lum and his family with medical expenses.

Details of the accident are murky and I care not to speculate. Right now we just want to wish Lum a speedy recovery.
