"The Dolphins Cycling Challenge (“DCC”) is a two-day tri-county charity cycling event coordinated by the Miami Dolphins Foundation. The purpose of the DCC is to increase cancer awareness, encourage healthy hobbies, and raise funds for the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The cycling portion of the DCC will take place on November 20th and 21st, 2010, with a Kick-Off Party and registration on November 19th at Bayfront Park in Miami.

The DCC will offer various options for riders of different abilities spanning the tri-county area. The first day will be a 100-mile ride – known as “the Miami Century Ride” – from Downtown Miami to West Palm Beach. At the close of Day 1, there will be a celebration at CityPlace in West Palm Beach to congratulate the Miami Century Riders and register the West Palm Beach Riders.

Day 2 consists of two rides from which participants can choose: The first is a 70-mile ride from CityPlace down to Sun Life Stadium. The second is a 30-mile ride from Ft. Lauderdale to Sun Life Stadium. For younger cyclists, DCC will host a “Kids Ride” that will finish simultaneously with the adult riding groups at Sun Life Stadium. At the conclusion of the DCC, Sun Life Stadium will host a celebration to honor those who participated in raising funds and increasing cancer awareness."
