The 2012 October Miami Critical Mass will be dedicated to Rodolfo Rojo, a teen who was struck & killed by a motorist while riding his bike the night before attending his first Critical Mass in October 2009. The following month (November 2009) Miami Critical Mass rode to the location where Rodolfo was killed and joined his friends and family at a vigil held for him. In recent months the group has grown exponentially and we can no longer stop mid-ride like we did three years ago, so his friends and family will be at the start of the ride at Government Center instead. Expect some words and balloons.

The October Critical Mass is the Halloween costume ride!

Safety tips for cyclist wearing costumes:

If your costume requires a mask or other face covering, you should be able to see clearly and breathe easily at all times. Make sure your costume will not get caught in the wheels, gears, or pedals.

Here are some costume ideas for cyclists. If any of you have Halloween attire ideas feel free to post them in the comments.

You could always get yourself a life size E.T. doll, red hoodie, '82 Kuwahara with milk crate and prepare for flight.
