Course Description

The beautiful Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Miami-Coral Gables will start in Coral Gables on the famous Miracle Mile on November 10 with three distances: 25, 54 or 101 miles. All riders will start at 7:00 am with a police escorted rollout on Miracle Mile, Ponce de Leon Avenue and beyond. Riders will pass historic sites such as the Coral Gables City Hall and the Biltmore Hotel as they enjoy routes flanked by lush gardens and magnificent homes.

At mile 11 the riders who choose the 25 mile route will turn and head toward the finish line in Miami.

The 54 and 101 mile routes moves south into the communities of Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay and eventually to Black Point. At mile 25 the riders who choose the 54 mile route will return to Miami.

The 101 mile route continues South and West into the vast agricultural areas of South Florida. Riders will pass fields of palms and tropical flowers and will see wonderful fruit stands that sell local produce and fruit milkshakes.

Rest stops, especially on the 101 mile course, are situated at some of South Florida’s best known tourist locations and will help every rider to manage the wind, heat and humidity.

All routes end in Miami by going through scenic Coconut Grove. At the northern-most point the course turns East and riders will catch a glimpse of Biscayne Bay as they round Brickell before heading south again and reaching the finish line at Dinner Key in front of Miami’s Iconic City Hall.
