A brand new public bike repair station w/ tools & air pump was just installed across from Taurus in the Grove (Main Hwy & Franklin Ave) along the Commodore Trail.

It's great to see the project come to realization, earlier last year Malone Matson submitted her idea to the Miami Foundation - Public Space Challenge and was declared a winner. Last October the first of three public bike repair stations was installed in South Miami. In February the second station was installed in Wynood.

The third Dero Fixit public bike repair stations will ideally be utilized by bicycle commuters needing quick repairs in the Coconut Grove and Coral Gables area.

Tools included:

"The Dero Fixit includes all the tools necessary to perform basic repairs and maintenance, from changing a flat to adjusting brakes and derailleurs. The tools and air pump are securely attached to the stand with stainless steel cables and tamper-proof fasteners. Hanging the bike from the hanger arms allows the pedals and wheels to spin freely while making adjustments."
