"The Underline will host a fun-filled late spring cycling ride to Little Havana. On Sunday, May 6th at 9:30AM, cyclists will embark on a scenic route from the Douglas Road Metrorail Station to the famed Ball & Chain in Little Havana, where attendees can enjoy nibbles and refreshments while taking in the historical and fun ambience of Calle Ocho.

This month's bike ride is a Celebrate Diversity Miami 2018 #MiamiWalks and Connect Miami's #10DaysofConnection event that encourages locals to actively connect with friends & neighbors across lines of difference, engage in conversation with one another to build relationships, and learn more about the city they live in.

Underline's partners 13th Floor Investments, Live Healthy Little Havana and Celebrate Diversity Miami will also be participating in this event. For example, 13th Floor Investments, a boutique development firm, will share plans for the future Link at Douglas, a transit-oriented development complex adjacent to The Underline that is currently in the works. We'll also hear from the Live Healthy Little Havana initiative and what they are doing to educate residents about healthier, more mobile lifestyles.

Friends of The Underline, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, will transform the underutilized land below Miami’s Metrorail, from the Miami River (near downtown) to Dadeland South Station, into a 10-mile, world-class, linear park and living art destination directly connected to transit.
