Bike Tour Schedule

January 12: Ride to the Barnacle with Bike Coconut Grove Join Dade Heritage Trust and partners Bike Coconut Grove and Friends of the Commodore Trail on the beautiful ride on the Underline to Coconut Grove featuring a tour of the historic Biscayne bayfront Barnacle – the Coconut Grove Home of Commodore Ralph Middleton Monroe, now a State of Florida Park featuring not only the historic residence but an urban forest in the heart of the Grove.

February 9: Miami Springs is for Lovers Meet at Dade Heritage Trust for this rail/bike adventure in partnership with Miami-Dade Transit and the beautiful Curtiss Mansion in lovely Miami Springs. We board the Metrorail in Brickell, exit in Hialeah and ride a little over two miles to the Curitss Mansion where we receive a tour of this historic home – once the residence of aviation pioneer, inventor and Opa Locka, Hialeah and Miami Springs founder, Glenn Curtiss.

March 8: Rolling Through the Roads with Friends of The Underline This tour of the beautiful Roads neighborhood is in partnership with The Friends of Underline. The Roads, delineated by Miami pioneer Mary Brickell is known for its wide boulevards, varied architecture, shady streets and desirability as it is a hop, skip and a short bike ride from Brickell, Little Havana and Coconut Grove.

April 19: Bike and BBQ This ride, in partnership with advocacy group, Bike Walk Coral Gables, starts at the Coral Gables Museum at 285 Aragon Avenue, and ventures to beautiful Matheson Hammock Park for a complimentary BBQ. The Coral Gables PD assists with this ride that is fun, beautiful and delicious! Grilled burgers, dogs and veggie burgers, and live music, too!

May 10: Marjory’s House Ride Did you know that Marjory Stoneman Douglas, author, journalist, activist and mother of the Everglades had a small cottage home in south Coconut Grove? We’ll take you there to visit and hear about Dade Heritage Trust’s future plans for the unique, adorable property.

June 21: Groovy Grove Park When it comes to urban Miami neighborhoods, Grove Park is a jewel - nestled north of Marlins Stadium and south of the Miami River. Beautiful homes, quiet streets and a sensibility of old Miami all make Grove Park a beautiful place to reside. Our ride goes through Little Havana, too!
