Bike Miami Days is back in downtown! East Flagler Street and parts of SE 2nd Ave and South Miami Ave will be closed to cars. This will be the last Bike Miami Days while Mayor Manny Diaz is in office. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the final Bike Miami Days. Come out and support the City Of Miami and all it's been trying to do for cyclists within the past year. Free bicycle rentals courtesy of Bike And Roll and Buddy Bike.

To those disheartened or up in arms about this possibly being the final Bike Miami Days do not fret. For the past few month's the city has been hosting Bike Miami Rides, a monthly jaunt which I believe is more significant than the closing of a few streets in Downtown Miami.

"Bike Miami Rides are monthly community rides for people interested in riding in small groups and learning how to ride safely in the street, also known as ‘vehicular riding’. Small groups will ride with members of the City of Miami Police Department Bicycle Patrol Unit and volunteers through a different Miami neighborhood each month."

The next Bike Miami Rides is Sunday, September 27th.
